You were created for purpose, and you are not here by accident. I am a firm believer that everything that happens to us in life is a carefully orchestrated plan by our creator. The question that I want you to ponder is: What am I going to do with the opportunities that life presents. What do I do with my dreams and desires?
Stop right now and repeat this: I’ve been created for purpose. Say it again!!! I’ve been created for purpose.
So now that we have established that you are created for purpose, I want to motivate you to align your thinking to know that you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. IF you trust and believe that you can have it, then it is totally possible to see it manifested in your life. However, “IF” is an operative word… it can be what ever you decide the IF to be. It will work in your favor, in whichever way you direct it. IF you believe it will work – you will get favorable results that work for you. Likewise, IF you doubt it will work – you will also get results, they just won’t be favorable results that produce good things.
Decide to Flourish on Purpose! If you can think it… if you can visualize it… you can HAVE IT!
So many people say that they want success, but the truth is that many of them are just saying it with: no vision, no road map on how to get there; and no belief system that they can actually achieve what they are saying.
People are always seeking the magic formula to success. The reality is that there is no magic formula. However, I have great news, I have something to share with you that if applied it will help you achieve your goals.
Here’s my formula: VISION + Belief (Faith) + ACTION = Purposed RESULTS!
If you don’t get anything else from this article… remember this:
- You have been created for a PURPOSE!
- You will need vision, belief (faith), and action in order to obtain results in your life.
- If you can see it… If you can believe it… then you can have it!
One must have vision in order to be able to see where they are trying to go. Your dreams and desires are the vehicles that are going to get you there if you are willing to take action. You also have to a road map outlined to get you there, and a belief system to carry the vision.
Look at it this way, your belief is the fuel that moves you to your final destination! And… Writing out goals, and achieving them is nothing more than the roadmap that gets us from one level to the other.
Our Goals are a series of steps that when obtained, and fulfilled, produce the end result of what you have envisioned (Your Purpose). Otherwise, you will find yourself off course, taking side roads and detours which will delay your travel time to your destination and you’ll get frustrated and want to quit.
Have you ever been there? I certainly have, and now when I look back, there was something that hindered my movement. Do you know what it was? It was me! It was that my belief in myself, or my vision was too week to carry me through in order to action.
The Word Goal means: the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aimed; the ending destination.
Envision means: to picture mentally, especially some future event or events.
If you haven’t set goals for yourself, I encourage you to do so. Goal setting is one of the key things that has to be done in order to form a pathway to success, and that will catapult you towards the fullness of purpose.
It is vitally important to set realistic milestones that can be achieved to avoid disappointments, set-backs and frustration.
I want to share with you my formula that I call “The Six Powerful P’s”
They will elevate your life “IF” you apply them:
Understand that you were born with and for Purpose. EVERYONE has purpose! When you understand your purpose, you can step into it and affect the lives of those around you. As I stated earlier at the beginning of the article: You are not on this earth by accident this is a part of your destiny.
Focus on what you can do for others to empower and enrich their lives. There are people who are looking for encouragement, and you can be the very gift to empower and enlighten their lives.
Discover your WHY? Your why should move you, if it moves you… it will move others to follow you! If you are not sure of your WHY… Ask yourself these questions:
- Why do I desire what I desire?
- What’s driving me?
- What is it that I need?
2. Passion: You have to have passion for what you are doing and passion to see the end result of your vision.
- Passion for your WHY
- Passion for people – “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
- Passion for what you do, your dreams, and desires.
How do you know if you possess passion for something? It’s a strong compelling feeling of love, and desire about what you are doing. For me personally, I feel like The Flourish Network, and Flourish Networking for Women is what I am supposed to be doing. It’s my happy space, its where I feel fulfilled; I know in my knower that it is right, and it is making a difference not only in my life, but that of others as well.
3. Positivity: Positivity is your compass that directs you to where you are going.
Have you ever heard the phrase”what you think about you bring about”? It’s true.
Surround yourself with positive people. Most importantly – You be the positivity even if everyone or everything around you is in a negative state. Positivity is a mindset, and you can choose to be POSITIVE, or you can choose to be negative. It takes the same amount of energy to achieve either. When you are enthusiastic about life and what you do, it radiates and you attract people to you.
4. Patience: Pace Yourself! The only pressure that you have on your journey is the pressure that you put on yourself. Remember, if you apply the formula Vision+Belief+Action you will always get to your end goal.
Patience also applies the law of consistency, if you do something long enough it will work! Have patience with yourself, and with others. Remember, you are not going to always get it right the first time, and you may not always get support from others. But keep trying. If you allow patience to have her perfect work, in the end your true purpose will be fulfilled.
5. Perseverance (challenges, negativity, thorny’s): Perseverance is steady, it is persistence in a course of action, a purpose, or a state of being; especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. Will Challenges Come? Yes!
Will you have to fight against negativity? Yes! Will you have THORNY’s? ABSOLUTELY! What are Thorny’s? They are people that were created just to be a thorn in your side. Remember, people are not always going to like you or agree with you. It is all OK, that’s why you were made you unique.
You must understand that when promotion comes, persecution and resistance also come. It’s a part of the territory of success, and reaching your purpose. Persevere and PUSH past the challenges. Make persistence your friend, and keep moving. In adversity purpose is born and success is made. Keep pressing – no matter what obstacles come.
Understand that growth in life is a process, knowing that all things are working together to process you for success. I have to honestly say, despite all of my challenges that I have endured over the past couple of years, when I was going through them I was MISERABLE! But I now understand that they were a part of my process that caused The Flourish Network, and Flourish Networking for women to be created. Likewise, everything that you have endured, and may be going through right now is processing you for your purpose.
You possess the power within you to Flourish on Purpose!
